What’s New with Penn & Teller— Fool Us?

The first season had been nimbly presented by Jonathan Ross, and the second and third seasons onwards have been hosted by female host Hannigan.

Every episode begins by introducing the purpose of the series. Penn & Teller come out and take their seats towards center stage, and hopeful magicians perform their magic before them, in front of a live studio audience. Following each show, Penn & Teller privately confer while the host interviews the magicians. Penn & Teller then reveal their knowledge of how the trick was performed, typically using cryptic language or recording the technique and presenting it privately to the magicians to confirm, so that they are not divulging the secret behind the trick.

Season two will be broadcasted on the 10th of October, 2022.

In the television show, P&T: Fool Usthe magicians perform their tricks before American comedians and magicians Penn & Teller. If a trick is unsolved at the end of each show, the magician who performed the trick is awarded the Fool Us trophy and a five-star trip to Las Vegas. Season one was shot at Fountain Studios in London, England (for the first time), while season two from now on was filmed at the Penn & Teller Theater in Las Vegas. Penn Jillette and Teller have been performing under the name of Penn & Teller since 1981.

For the first season, Jonathan Ross served as a temporary substitute for Penn Teller’s hosting duties but they were back for the next season. The film was shot at Fountain Studios in London, England for its first season, before relocating to the Penn & Teller Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada for the second season, and later seasons.
